Vocal visualizer: watch your voice as you sing

Sing into your microphone and see the sound: the harmonic stack of a vowel, the ripple of vibrato, how steady you hold a note. Free in the browser, analysed locally, and nothing is recorded unless you press Record.

Who this is for

What a voice looks like

A sung vowel is a fundamental plus a stack of harmonics, and the 96-band logarithmic spectrum shows all of it at once. A brighter vowel pushes energy up the display; a covered one pulls it down. Vibrato shows up as a regular ripple in the peak holds, and an unsteady note as an irregular one.

Steady or not steady

Oscilloscope draws the waveform directly, so a stable note is a stable shape on screen. The peak-hold bars in Spectrum Bars hang for a moment above the live level, which makes it obvious when a note drifts or an entry lands late.

Nothing is recorded, nothing is uploaded

The microphone stream is analysed live in your browser with the Web Audio API. No audio is stored or sent anywhere, and closing the tab leaves nothing behind. Record is the only thing that writes a file, and it writes it to your own downloads folder.

How to do it

  1. Open BLOOB and click “Mic / instrument”
  2. Allow microphone access and pick your microphone or interface
  3. Sing, and press ← → until a scene reads well — Spectrum Bars, Mirror EQ and Oscilloscope are the most literal
  4. Press Record if you want a clip to review or post

Questions people ask about vocal visualizer

Does it tell me if I am in tune?

No. It is not a tuner and it does not name notes. It shows the shape and the content of the sound, which is useful next to a tuner rather than instead of one.

Is my voice uploaded anywhere?

No. Analysis happens on your device and nothing leaves the browser.

Can I sing over a backing track?

Yes. Load the track first, then turn the microphone on — the visuals follow both. Use headphones so the backing track is not analysed twice.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes, in Safari and Chrome. Turn the phone to landscape for the widest spectrum.

Free forever — help keep it that way. There is no paywall, no watermark and no ad. Support pays the hosting and the phone-remote relay servers and funds new scenes. ♥ Support BLOOB & Galaxy What it funds
