Who this is for

Chords, drums and bass from one keyboard

Hold several keys for chords (up to fourteen voices), tap 1 to 7 for kick, snare, hat, clap, tom, open hat and rim, and switch to Bass for low lines. Z and X move the octave three steps each way.

It sounds like an instrument

Each instrument is a two-oscillator synth with a filter envelope and a compressor on the master bus, so it sits at a stable level whatever you play.

Every note is visible

The audio is analysed in real time, so the visuals show pitch, loudness and rhythm truthfully — a useful way to hear with your eyes.

How to do it

  1. Open BLOOB and click “Play the keys” (or press K)
  2. Play A–L for white keys, W E T Y U for the black keys; 1–7 are drums
  3. Pick Keys, Pluck, Bass, Pad or Bell; Z / X shift the octave
  4. Change the visual with ← → while you play, and Record if you like it
