BLOOB

Seeing music: a visualizer for deaf and hard-of-hearing listeners

Rhythm, loudness and frequency drawn honestly from the audio itself, with synced lyrics on the same screen. It does not replace hearing a song — but a great deal of what a song is doing can be seen.

Who this is for

Why it is honest

The picture is generated from the sound: kick, snare and hats are detected as separate onsets, the 96-band spectrum shows where the energy actually is, and the beat grid is compensated for your device’s output latency so what you see is in time with what is playing. Nothing is pre-animated and nothing is faked from a template.

Lyrics on the same screen

Load an .lrc or .srt, paste the words and press Enter as each line starts, or let the built-in Whisper transcription time them for you. The model runs in your browser, so the audio never leaves the device, and the lines display over the visual and render into any export.

Rhythm you can feel as well as see

A large screen plus a subwoofer makes the low end physical while the visuals give the rest of the arrangement a shape. In a classroom or a venue that combination is often the difference between a song being an event and being nothing at all.

How to do it

  1. Open BLOOB and load a song, or press M for live music through the microphone
  2. Open Tune → Lyrics and load an .lrc or .srt, or paste the words and use Tap-sync mode
  3. Or press Auto-transcribe with AI and let Whisper time the lyrics locally
  4. Pick a literal scene — Spectrum Bars, Mirror EQ or Pulse Lanes — and press H for fullscreen

Questions people ask about music visualizer for deaf and hard of hearing

Does the transcription upload my audio?

No. The Whisper model downloads once (about 60 MB, cached afterwards) and runs inside your browser.

Which scenes show rhythm most clearly?

Pulse Lanes and Deep Sonar for timing, Spectrum Bars and Mirror EQ for frequency, Liquid BLOOB for the low end.

Can I caption a video I am exporting?

Yes. Timed lyrics and captions are rendered into the MP4 or WebM, so they survive any upload.

Is there a cost?

No. Free forever, with optional support.

Free forever — help keep it that way. There is no paywall, no watermark and no ad. Support pays the hosting and the phone-remote relay servers and funds new scenes. ♥ Support BLOOB & Galaxy What it funds
